Exploring Ohio: Hocking Hills

Hocking Hills has been one of my favorite spots to explore in Ohio for a couple of years now. But I've never been able to make it out there when it's completely covered in snow. It's a different world with the pretty red rocks draped in white snow and all of the rivers frozen... People are sliding around in the creaks and walking up to the waterfalls to touch them. Ice sickles the size of people hang above you on the hanging rock. It's really really beautiful. This weekend, my friends and I stayed in a cabin near Hocking, which gave us a perfect opportunity to explore this gem.

While we were walking through the forest, we literally ran into two wolves.

There was a photographer photographing two wolves in the frozen caves, and I couldn't help but ask to take a quick shot of the beautiful dogs. They were someones pets, which shocked me because they were really acting like wild dogs, howling and crying when they were separated. We weren't able to pet the wolves, which I'm sure has to do with their territorial nature...But I'm so happy I was able to take a quick picture of them! We definitely picked the right day to go to this magical place.
